What is the most recent book you read that gave you a pretty good knowledge database of a different culture of a different city?

I would say this one is mine. First of all, I would like to begin that people who think Goa is just about beaches, fenny, karaoke, etc, this book will completely change the perception of those.

Readers who like to read about a different culture can find a lot about the Goan culture in this book. There are a lot of different traditions and procedures in any city’s culture. Most of it has been depicted beautifully. Not just that it also talks about the Betaal worship in Goa.
This book is actually a healthy mix.

The language is a little tough, names and characters are also different and unique except for the name Rukmini (On a lighter note).

The book takes you with the storyline of missing idols with many unexpected events. You need to focus on the language, a very good vocabulary base with the effortless presentation of scenarios.

Had fun reading such a nice book 🙂 I loved. Definitely would love to read it again.

Also would like to mention the Author had a very niche way of representing. The book starts and ends with a Sanskrit verse.
